Last night,22/03/017, a suicide bomber took the lives of many innocent, beautiful children and adults who were at an Ariana Grade concert in Manchester Arena. A night that they should have remembered forever, was destroyed along with life as they know it in a matter of seconds. I have no words to describe what I am feeling right now and I cannot begin to imagine what those effected by the attack are going through. My love, thoughts and prayers are with all those in and around Manchester, all those effected or who know someone who was, all those who have lost their lives and those still fighting for their lives. I thank the people of Manchester for opening their doors to children stranded, and I thank them for not letting these horrible, horrible people win.
This event opened a lot of people's eyes, including mine. Life is short. Music and concerts are powerful. Concerts are supposed to be a safe space to let your hair down and be care free, not this. This shouldn't have happened. But the reality is , it did. And it was devastating. These people heard their last song, said their last word and took their last breath on that night without being aware it would be the last.
Life is short and unpredictable. Live your life the way you want to live it. You never know when it will be taken from you. Don't hold grudges, forgive and enjoy friendships and families. Enjoy life while you're young, enjoy the little things.
Experience new cultures before choosing where and when to settle down. Find a coffee shop that sells a coffee you could drink for the rest of your life. Start an Instagram theme and laugh when it fails miserably. Enjoy the little things. Enjoy moments when you laugh so hard your stomach hurts and you can't breathe. Enjoy passing an exam you worked tirelessly for. Enjoy when you have a good hair day, laugh when you have a bad one. Enjoy the little things. Research a topic you enjoy and find out more about it. Educate yourself. Enjoy doing it. Exercise, it's good for you. Drink water in the day and something else at night when you've lost count of how many you've had. I'm the morning, don't focus on the hangover, focus on the fun you had last night. Appreciate your friends and family, they will always support you. Tell your mum you love her and your dad you are grateful for him. Tell your siblings you're glad you got to share a childhood with them. Appreciate the people around you. Enjoy the little things.
Everything you've ever know can be taken away in seconds and that, admittedly, is terrifying. Enjoy the little things and never, never, never let hate win.
Spread love and positivity during testing times. Stand together and stand strong. ♡
